RNG Forces Attacks Forcing Bitstamps To Suspend Exchanging

16:46

Bitcoin exchange Bitstamps huge number of accounts accumulated

This news has been flashing in he news and  Bitstamp has been also confirmed the news that RNG forces attacks on their system on 4ht Jan 2015 effecting many accounts to loose their balance.

This news shocked the bitcoin account holders when a user recharge his bitcoin account at Bitstamps and soon after he realized that his amount has disappeared before reaching in his account.

When contacting the support team about his problem he came to know through an email to take care to deposit amount in bit coins account. But it was too late.

After this company expended this news and inform all members not to deposit any amount in their previous account.

In response to the attacks, Dogecoin creator Jackson Palmer has endorse two main things behind these attacks: compromised public/private keys or an R-value attack.

In previous month, a hacker ( white hat hacker) on Blockchain found some gaps or broken keys when he used a script that scanned for recent funded accounts data and repeated ‘R values’ on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Later, the hacker said that“Every Bitcoin transactions are assigned by two vectors‘R’ and ‘S’ which assure the private key. When a sender tries to send money. When the same R value is used double , the private key can be easily recognised from the signatures alone.”

But the hacker honestly returned all money to their owners right from the date when the exchanger company fixed the issue. His main purpose behind this action was only to protect accounts from black hat hacking and to force the Blockchain to ensure the security.

This is a fact that Bitstamp users previously issued many concern over the security when they felt that the exchange may be experiencing the some issues as Blockchain.

Many users are effected in this way who put their Bitstamp accounts in an automated system, like for mining cash-outs or for other regular deposits.

Bitcoin exchange Bitstamp has discontinued to provide the service in this regard. Later, Bitstamp also changed its Bitcoin deposit operation and provided every user a new Bitcoin address to deposit money. Deposits made to old Bitstamp deposit addresses will “not be covered any more”

In this scenario, it is strongly advised that Bitstamp users not deal their accounts in this way and instead keep their Bitcoins in a non-exchange account.
